Fabrics with an Animal Influence

Who doesn’t love an animal influenced fabric…? Colourful, vibrant and bright patterns that can turn a dull, dark space into something elegant and exciting! They are perfect for showing off your creative side!

Animal prints such as leopard, zebra and snake are classics, but these days we are seeing a resurgence of tropical prints with influences from Brazil to Vietnam! We thought to brighten up these cold, dark January days we would take you on a quick tour of some lovely, bright animal themed fabrics from Clarke and Clarke.

Golden Parrot

The Golden Parrot is found in the wild in a small area of Brazil south of the Amazon River. It is a striking yellow colour and appears in this design sitting amongst native foliage. Pictured is the ivory background but it also comes in a pale teal called Mineral and a bright Coral! As you can see it would work beautifully as a placemat!

Wonderlust Tea Story

This bold kaleidoscopic pattern includes unusual flora and fauna such as butterflies, birds, big cats and snakes…all hidden amongst unexpected patterns. Sit back and discover unchartered territories from the Amazon to Vietnam in this exotic fabric which is bursting with life and brimming with secrets. Available in three blue/green colourways and perfect for upholstery.

Toucan

Be transported straight to the jungle with this effervescent fabric! The pattern was hand-painted with oils, meaning you can see the texture in the print – giving it a realistic mural quality. Although the toucans in the foreground are sat in the jungle, the background brings an island vibe. It’s the perfect choice for a garden room, conservatory or a room looking out onto a beautiful garden and comes in three subtly different colourways. Perfect for curtains, blinds or upholstery.

Monkey Business

A classic tropical print, with big, glossy leaves and cute climbing monkeys. This is a playful fabric which combines well with other tropical prints for a bold, creative look. Monkey Business is available in the indigo background (pictured here) as well as charcoal, natural and the exciting Rouge!

Animals have always inspired designers and with an endless palette of colours and characters it is easy to see why. Why not have flamingos in the bathroom, tigers in the office and monkeys in the dining room?
